Grand opening ceremony of St Aloysius International School, Harihar held

Davangere, Jun 7: The Opening of St Aloysius International School of the new academic year 2024-25 was held on Friday, June 7 at 10 am.

It was indeed a magnificent procession by students holding School Banner followed by children with school flags, band set, NCC troop, school children from Pre-KG to Class VIII, parents and all the dignitaries.

A formal function paved the way to the commencement of the new academic year. The ceremony started with the Inter-Religious Prayer by PUC students, welcome dance was performed by an alumna Shreya and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and the tiny tots of the school as a symbolic moment signifying the dispelling of darkness through the enlightenment knowledge and wisdom.

The dignitaries inaugurated the new Kindergarten classrooms and multi-activity room. Overall it was a joyous moment for the St Aloysius International School and PU College.

The dignitaries prsent were president Fr Melwin Pinto, SJ, pro-chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, the rector of St Aloysius Institutions (Mangaluru and Harihar), chief guest Fr Rohan D' Almeida SJ, principal of St Joseph CBSE School, Bengaluru and also the chief advisor of primary and secondary Jesuit schools in Karnataka.

Fr Balaraju, SJ, secretary and treasurer MJES, Mangaluru and Fr Avinash D Souza, SJ, were the guests of honour.

The other dignitaries present were Fr Eric Mathias SJ, director, Grace Noronha, academic advisor, Pushpalatha Urs and Reena Pinto, principals of St Aloysius College and International School respectively, Mohsin and Paschal, the vice-principals of the college and Fr Vinod AJ SJ, the vice principal of St Aloysius International School.
