Puttur, Jun 7: Department of humanities and training and placement cell at St Philomena College, organized a workshop titled 'Chase Your Dream: What’s Next After Graduation?' at the Spandana Seminar Hall.
Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, principal of the college, presided over the event. The workshop featured Shweta N, child development project officer, as the resource person. Dr Norbert Mascarenhas, head of the department of humanities, welcomed the guests and provided introductory remarks. Prof Vasudeva N, head of the department of economics, delivered a brief introduction of the resource person.
Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, principal of the college presided and addressed the students, extending his best wishes for their future endeavours. In her session, Shweta N shared her educational journey and offered inspiring guidance. She encouraged students to self-assess, recognize their skills, and remain dynamic, likening them to flowing water rather than stagnant.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by final-year BA student Malavika. The event was compered by Swapna. The vice-principal of the college, Dr Vijayakumar Moleyar, history department lecturer Vineeta Vansy Sequeira, Ponnappa, and students from the first, second, and final years of the BA programme were in attendance.
The workshop provided valuable insights and motivation for students contemplating their future paths after graduation.
