Mangaluru, May 28: The teacher's enrichment programme at Aloysius College Higher Primary School was held on May 28 in the school auditorium. It was organized by the school management.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the resource person, Fr Joyson Sujay Vas SJ by Liya D'Souza.
Fr Joyson Vas is a counselling psychologist, therapist, soft skills trainer, mentor and spiritual director. He currently serves as the Province Vocation promoter, North Karnataka Jesuit Youth director and counselor residing at Vidyaniketan, Dharwad.
Fr Joyson Sujay Vas addressed topics such as teaching as a mission, vocation and profession, developing a growth mindset and the role of teachers in the 21st century. He emphasized the crucial role teachers play in the lives of their students, highlighting the importance of recognizing the value of each student in the classroom. Through engaging activities, he discussed self-discovery by embracing both one's best and darker selves and the importance of accepting imperfections while passionately pursuing the teaching profession.
The event was graced by the presence of correspondent Fr John D'Souza SJ, headmistress Jositta Noronha and assistant headmaster Liya D'Souza. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Padmanabha Rao.
