Mangaluru: Dr M V Shetty Institutions hold ‘Vismaya 2024’ cultural fest

Mangaluru, May 14: Dr M V Shetty Institutions conducted a two-day annual cultural fest 'Vismaya 2024' on May 4-5 at the College Auditorium, Kavoor.

The two-day cultural fest was inaugurated by Prof Dr Hima Urmila Shetty, chairperson, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust on May 4. The guest of honour for the inauguration ceremony was Dr Suma S Rai, director academics, Dr M V Shetty Institutions. College of Physiotherapy principal and chief cultural coordinator Dr L Gladson Jose, College of Nursing principal Dr Padma Priya S, College of Speech and Hearing principal Dr Sathish K, Institute of Professional Sciences and Management principal Dr Prakasha Amin, Institute of Allied Health Sciences principal Prof Shripriya H, Leelavathi Shetty College of Education principal Prof Nisha and others were present.

During the two-day cultural fest, competitions like eastern dance, western dance, folk dance, eastern singing, western singing, mime, tableau, cooking without fire, collage making, rangoli, pencil sketch, face painting, bottle painting, nail art, hairstyle and make up were held.

The programme concluded with the valedictory ceremony and prize distribution on May 5. The students actively participated and showcased their talents in all the events held at Vismaya 2024.

The overall championship of Vismaya 2024 was bagged by Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy. The trustees of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Dr Divyanjali Shetty, Dr Ranjith Shetty and Dr Rohila Shetty wished the winners and organising committee members for the grand success. The event was compered by Dr Jitto C Jayan and Dr Amin Divya Padmanabha.
