Hyderabad, Oct 15 (IANS): England captain Alastair Cook termed the defeat in the first ODI against India as disappointing but said the team has not lost its self-belief.
After the massive defeat, Cook said England was outplayed in all three departments of the game. "Our fielding was unusually sloppy," he said.
The English captain said they gave 180 runs in last 20 overs.
Cook said there was a chance to chase the huge total. He, however, gave full credit to India for the win.
On not including Ian Bell in the team, Cook said it was a tough selection call.
