Bahrain, Apr 21: NRI Billava community of the Island nation organized public Satyanarayana Pooja at the auditorium of Krishna temple at Manama. Around 800 devotees participated in the religious ritual.
As the organization is stepping into the 21st year of its formation, the pooja was organized as the first event. Vaidika Rakesh Shanti, who was invited from India to conduct the pooja, conducted the rituals.
Bhajans were sung throughout the pooja. The ritual began after offering prayers to almighty God on behalf of Harish Poojary, president of Bahrain Billavas and other office bearers. Maha Mangalarati was done after holding Ganapati Pooja, Kalasa Pooja, Navagraha Pooja, Guru Pooja, Vritha Kalpokti Pooja, Bhajans and Story of Satyanaraya God.
Addressing the devotees, Harish Poojary, new president of Bahrain Billavas said that cooperation of all is required to take the organization moving forward in future. Priest Rakesh Shanti was honoured with shawl and memento. Outgoing chief secretary Roopesh Salian and Bhakti Vriksha Bajana Mandali was also felicitated with mementos. Children of Bahrain BIllavas who are going to India for higher education were also given farewell with gifts.
President and office bearers of all the community and organizations of Bahrain partook in the ritual. After Maha Mangalarati and distribution of Prasadam, lunch was served to all the devotees.
