Mangaluru, Mar 5: The department of business administration, in collaboration with the SJEC-NIPM student chapter, successfully organised Converse Sphere-2024, a panel discussion focusing on the changing role of management in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The event took place on March 4, and it provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of management practices amidst rapid technological advancements. The panel for the same included eminent personalities like Sandeep S P, HR head, Pratt and Whitney India Business and Dr Ronald Sequeira, executive director, VRA solutions.
The panel discussion delved into various facets of how AI is reshaping traditional management roles and practices. Sandeep S P, with his extensive experience in human resources management, emphasised the need for organisations to adopt AI-driven solutions to streamline HR processes while maintaining the human touch in employee relations. He highlighted the importance of leveraging AI for talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement.
Dr Ronald Sequeira, as an expert in executive leadership and organisational development, shed light on the strategic implications of AI integration in businesses. He discussed how AI technologies are revolutionising decision-making processes, enabling data-driven insights for effective leadership and organisational growth. Dr Sequeira also addressed concerns regarding the ethical implications of AI deployment in management practices and stressed the importance of responsible AI governance.
