Mangaluru, Dec 23: The season of Christmas is a time of spreading joy, peace and happiness as we welcome the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a time to pause and bask in the glory of this festive season to acknowledge the spirit of caring and sharing. To celebrate this festive spirit, the students of St Agnes School CBSE organised the Christmas celebration through a short programme. The fervour of celebration began with melodious Christmas carols and Santa Claus welcoming the students to school in the morning.
The gracious programme began with entreating God’s blessings lead by the students of grade two created a devotional aura. An effervescent welcome was given by Dwithi The rhythmic moves of the students through a western dance enraptured the audience bringing huge round of applaud. The significance of Christmas was symbolically represented by students creating a feeling of festivity and oneness. The Christmas tableau depicting the birth of Christ was fabulously presented by the students. It was a great day of celebration and merriment thereafter a few teachers and students visited the various institutions of the campus to spread the joy of Christmas.
Daphne D’Souza the faculty of St Agnes School CBSE graced the occasion and shared the joy of Christmas by thanking the principal for giving a wonderful opportunity and congratulated the students and teachers for presenting a meaningful programme. She urged the students to make every day a Christmas by their good deeds and be a light to the world.
The principal, Sr Maria Sarika AC, the administrator Sr Edna Furtado AC, the vice principal Sr Lenita Lobo AC, Sr Sweedal Fernandes AC the staff and students witnessed the programme.
Samaira Ashel Rego and Tanisha P Brijesh compered the programme, Natalia Sara Crasta proposed the vote of thanks expressing gratitude for the wonderful participation by the audience. Christmas cake was served to all on the occasion of grandeur festivity. A small community gathering of St Agnes Staff and non-teaching staff was organised to spread joy and happiness on the season of Christmas.
