Mangaluru, Dec 15: South East Zone Inter University Football (Men) Tournament witnessed spirited competition, with 51 Universities registered for the event. The Event was hosted by Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) as a remarkable achievement with first time hosting.
The tournament comprised four pulsating rounds, showcasing the passion and skill of different University Football teams From Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh state’s universities. The AIU South East Zone Inter University Football Tournament organizing Secretary of the tournament Sujith K V, physical education director, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).
Four teams emerged victorious, securing the places in the prestigious All India Football Tournaments. These teams displayed exceptional talent, determination, sportsmanship throughout the competition.
In thrilling finale the Yenepoya University emerged as a triumphant winner of the South East Zone Inter University Football -Men Tournament. Their remarkable performance and strategy game play lead them to clinch the title, marking a momentous achievement for the Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Karnataka. Victory is not just in winning matches it’s in nurturing team’s spirit, fostering resilience, and transforming challenges into triumphal. The management has congratulated the winning team coach Biby Thomas and team manager Sujith K V, whose leadership shaped champions on and off the field.

Champions: Yenepoya (Deemed to be University)
First runner up: Hemachand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya
Second runner up: Mangalore University
Third runner up: Osmania University
