Mangaluru, Dec 2: In a heartening display of compassion and solidarity marking World Disability Day, the students of grade 7 ABC at Carmel School spearheaded a remarkable service learning initiative for the students of Chetana Child Development Centre on V T Road, Mangaluru on December 1.
The event commenced with a serene prayer service, setting a tone of respect and inclusivity. A lively welcome dance and an energetic action song ignited the atmosphere, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the participants.
The collaborative effort between the students of Carmel School and the 98 students from Chetana School radiated enthusiasm and warmth throughout the program. Engaging in various activities, they embraced the occasion with unbridled zeal, fostering an atmosphere of unity and joy.
The culminating moments of the programme resonated with goodwill as books and essential stationery were distributed among the eager students, amplifying the joy and educational prospects for the attendees. The event was conducted seamlessly, thanks to the efficient compering skills of Nitasha D'Souza, who ensured a smooth flow of the proceedings.
