Puttur, Nov 30: The PG department of social work, centre for PG studies and research, organized a workshop in collaboration with the department of English St Philomena College, as part of its Skill Enhancement Programme Series on November 27 at PG seminar hall of the college.
Bharathi S Rai, HOD, department of English participated as resource person for the day. She shared her knowledge with regard to the significance of etiquette and composure along with the mastery over language to become a successful professional.
Prof Ganesh Bhat K, vice principal, presided over the formal programme and urged the participants to know the professional subtleties and to get prepared to face the world with skills necessary to fight the battle of professional life.
Rachel Sylvester MSW student rendered prayer, Srimani welcomed, Koushika introduced the resource person, Saritha proposed vote of thanks and Akil Thomas compered the programme.
Srimani, coordinator, of the PG department of social work, Prathibha, and Sheethal assistant professors of the PG department of social work extended necessary support in the conduct of the workshop. A total of 31 MSW students were the beneficiaries. Certificates were distributed following the workshop.
