Mangaluru, Nov 29: Investment in knowledge pays dividend for the life time. An initiative to create awareness about savings and investment avenues among the students, a SMART investor awareness programme was organized on November 28 at government college, Kavoor for all the students by the IQAC, department of commerce and management and Jagruti Consumer Club in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange.
Steevan Robert Tellis, assistant professor, Srinivas Institute of Management was the resource person. In his address, he said, “Due to inflation value of money drastically comes down.” He further advised the students to start saving and investing right from the early stages of earning, so that future will be bright and safe.
The formal programme was presided by the principal Dr Shivarama P, who addressed the students and motivated them to earn while learning and use the same for investment in a small way. Dr Geetha M L, HOD department of commerce and management Dr Therese Periera, the IQAC co-ordinator, Dr Santhosh Pinto, student welfare officer and Jyothi Shetty, the IQAC Co-coordinator were present.
Deeksha of third year BBA compered the programme, Krithika of third year BCom welcomed the gathering and Chaitra of third year BBA proposed vote of thanks.
