Mangaluru, Nov 13: St Agnes CBSE School celebrated Children's Day with great enthusiasm and excitement.
The day began with a Eucharistic gathering, where the students and faculty thanked God with profound reverence.
The main celebrant of the mass was Fr Roopesh Madtha, whose wise words encouraged the children to be humble, caring, and joyful in life. The melodious choir by the students and teachers added to the occasion's grandeur.
The students were dressed impeccably, creating a memorable sight. The teachers organized various games to encourage relaxation and competitive spirit. The programme commenced with the prayer service accompanied by a soulful prayer song. The students were presented with a melodious song as a gesture of appreciation. The teachers' performance of a stunning dance was met with enthusiastic applause from the students. To highlight the importance of love, compassion, and humanity, a skit was performed, conveying a potent message. During the event, the teachers presented an entertainment act that brought moments of joy and levity to the children. Additionally, Shobha, the counsellor, made a grand entrance dressed as Chacha Nehru and presented the significance of the day. Finally, prizes were awarded to the students who emerged victorious in the games.
The program was presided over by the head girl, Angelina D'Silva, and assistant head girl, Vival J Serrao, accompanied by the school principal, Sr Maria Sarika AC. Subsequently, the head girl conveyed her appreciation for organizing such a splendid programme and making the students feel valued.
The programme was hosted by teachers Sumana and Keerthi. Following the event, Sr Maria Sarika AC delivered a vote of thanks, expressing her appreciation for the extensive participation and the overall success of the celebration. To express gratitude, a fellowship meal was provided to students and staff.
