Puttur, Nov 4: Yaksha Kala Kendra and Rangakala Ghataka, St Philomena College, and Patriot NS Kille Pratishthan ® collaborated to present a remarkable event, ‘Philo Kala Vaibhava-2023,held recently at Dr SR Gopalan Nair Hall Shri Ram Mandir Sanyasi Guddein the serene village of Kedambady, situated in the Puttur taluk. This event was a celebration of the rich tradition of Indian Classical Arts.
During this occasion, the talented students of St Philomena College enthralled the audience with diverse art forms, including Yakshagana, Bharatanatyam, and Western dances. Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the Principal of the College, eloquently emphasized the significance of uniting through the medium of music and dance, underlining its capacity to bestow peace of mind and foster unity. Notably, St Philomena College has adopted the Kedambady village, and it has undertaken various programs to support and uplift the community.
In the days ahead, numerous clubs of the college will coordinate a series of cultural and academic events with a strong focus on addressing societal concerns. Kadamajalu Subash Rai, the president of NS Kille Pratishthan, extended his warm wishes for the success of these endeavors. Jayashankar Rai, the president of Sriram Bhajana Mandir, felicitated Dr Anthony Prakash Monteiro for his outstanding contributions.
The students of St Philomena College captivated the residents of Kedambadyvillage with their mesmerizing cultural performances. The cultural programmes were directed by Prashant Rai, director of Yaksha Kala Kendra of the college, and Rajeshwari M, the coordinator.
