Yenepoya inaugurtes 30-hrs crash course on “EMPOWERING MINDS FOR KSET/NET/JRF EXAM”

Mangaluru, Oct 21: The Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (YIASCM), a constituent unit of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) unfolded a momentous event of inaugurating the 30-hours crash course on KSET/NET/JRF exam. The KSET/NET/JRF is an examination that opens doors to a world of opportunities for aspiring scholars and academicians. On Saturday, October 21, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) initiated a crash course to help the examinees achieve their dreams, conquer their goals and unlock the vast potential that lies within each one of them.

This crash course has been meticulously designed to help the participants acquire knowledge, skills and strategies necessary to tackle the KSET/NET/JRF exam confidently. The uniqueness of this course is that the resource persons are all exceptional intellects who have excelled in these exams scoring top ranks.

The chief guest of the inaugural programme was Dr Sayyed Ameen Ahammad, dean of Student Affairs and director of Centre for Management Studies and Research, P A College of Engineering, who has a remarkable accomplishment of clearing the KSET/NET exam in not just one or two, but an astounding seven different subjects. He shared his expertise by asserting that such exams have the potential to transform teachers effectiveness by ensuring quality teaching, fostering critical thinking and research oriented teaching. He motivated the participants by making them realize that each step of preparation towards this exam enriches the individual’s potential towards academic excellence.

The guest of honour was Dr Ranajith Das, who is an associate professor, Division of Data Analytics, Bioinformatics and Structural Biology (DABS),Yenepoya Research Centre (YRC),Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). He has to his academic and research credentials a Masters’ Degree, PhD and Post Doctoral Fellowship from Duquesne University, Southern Illinois University and University of Sheffield respectively. He highlighted the growing trend of Indian students moving abroad for education and work opportunities. He urged the faculty members to excel in teaching career and provide Indian students with qualified and quality inputs, which would help in shaping the nation’seducational landscape.

With a noteworthy academic and research excellence, our Principal Dr Arun Bhagwath in his presidential remarks accentuated on how KSET/NET/JRF exams play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of higher education, promoting research and identifying talented individuals who can contribute to various academic disciplines and the overall development of the nation.

The co-ordinator of YEN-Refined Dr Niyaz Panakaje delved into the need for conducting this crash course and how this course would benefit the participants.

Dr Prashanth, associate professor from the Department of Management, YIASCM welcomed the gathering, Ziyad Irfan of III Year BBA led the gathering into prayer and Bazigha, junior research fellow proposed a vote of thanks.

The first session of the crash course began immediately after the inaugural , wherein the chief guest Dr Sayyed Ameen was the resource person, who gave an overview of paper – 1 along with strategies to crack the paper. The crash course will be conducted on all Saturdays from 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm until December 2.
