Mangaluru, Oct 20: The three-day face to face introductory faculty development programme (FDP) on Universal Human Values (UHV), jointly organized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), from October 18 to 20 concluded on October 20. The event commenced with an invocation, followed by a warm welcome. The event also featured self-exploration reflections from the participants. Fr Wilfred Prakash D'Souza, the director of SJEC, presided over the function.
Dr Rio D'Souza, the principal of St Joseph Engineering College was the chief guest and addressed the gathering, highlighting valuable insights and perspective of Universal Human Values. Dr Aparajitha Singh, assistant professor at Thakur Institute of Management Studies Career Development and Research was the resource person for the programme, Deepesh A, regional coordinator, south west region, NCCIP-AICTE and Dr Prathibha Patel M, principal of IMJISC were the distinguished guests of honour. Fr Kenneth Crasta, assistant director -SJEC graced the occasion. Deepesh A, delivered the closing remarks, highlighting the programme’s significance and impact.
Harsha A J, the local coordinator for UHV, presented a report on the FDP, summarizing its content and outcomes. Shama B N, the local coordinator for UHV, proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the dedication and support of AICTE team, participants and organizers. This valedictory function showed the importance of Universal Human Values in education and celebrated the collaborative effort that made the programme a grand success.
