Mangaluru, Oct 20: The YRC (Youth Red Cross) in association with chair in Christianity, Mangalore University organised a programme on ‘Leadership Insights from World Religions’, at Padua College of Commerce and Management on Thursday, October 19.
It was a significant and enlightening event, hosted under the guidance of president Fr Arun Wilson Lobo and principal Padua College of Commerce and Management. The chief guest Dr Ivan D’Souza, head chair of Christianity at Mangalore University, and the resource person, Dr Henry D'Almeida SJ, professor of philosophy at Jnana Deepa, Pune, contributed to the depth and wisdom of the programme.
The programme was also graced by vice principal and YRC coordinator Prof Roshan Santhumayor and YRC assistant coordinator Prof Akshatha, Zeena Cornelio effectively compered the event, and Prof Akshatha delivered the vote of thanks.
The event began with a warm welcome from Dr Ivan D’Souza, who emphasized the importance of interfaith dialogue and leadership insights derived from various world religions.
The resource person Dr Henry D'Almeida shared profound insights into leadership as depicted in different religions. He highlighted the common principles of ethical leadership, compassion, and service found in various faiths. His presentation shed light on the universal messages that can guide individuals in their leadership journeys, irrespective of their religious affiliations.
