Oval, Aug 20: England's dominance over an average looking India has been continuing in the fourth test also. Though Oval had been a lucky ground for India for the last 52 years, the first two days of the final test have not proved so lucky for the visitors.
On the second day of the final test on Friday August 19, India were outplayed comprehensively, with 382 runs scored during the day and things going from bad to worse. The highlight of the day was the brilliant 350-run partnership between Pietersen and Bell. Bell looks all set for his first double test century as England look to grind India to the ground.
The declaration might come anytime before the lunch break on the third day of the play. Only rain can save India, or a magical innings from the Indian openers and the middle order that are considered the best in the world, until the team got badly beaten in three consecutive tests at the hands of England.
All eyes are on Virendra Sehwag - will he continue collecting his golden eggs or do some talking with the bat?
Indian fans hope that Sachin Tendulkar would do finally reach the magic figure of 100 hundreds in this test at least. If he continues to disappoint his fans, he would be under tremendous pressure in future tours, and might even have to struggle to keep his place in the coming days!
Dhoni, though he did well with the bat during the third test, failed with his captaincy once again. He needs to lead from the front once again when India bat later in the day.
