Mangaluru: Patriotic mood exuberated by students of primary section at Mount Carmel Central School

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The students of the primary section of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru celebrated the Independence Day exuberating a patriotic mood throughout. Grade IV A and B were the hosts of the cultural programme which commenced invoking god’s blessings.

The students tapped to the beats of a classical song 'Bharath Anokha Raag Hain' and radiantly welcomed the audience while Steeve and Samrath accorded words of welcome. The significance of the day was well articulated by Shreema and Harivansh. The cultural programme which was an amalgamation of emotions like pride, patriotism, gratitude and responsibility was artistically and sensitively exhibited by the students through dances and a skit.

 

The chief guest assistant commandant Ankush Minhas, Indian Coast Guard at the outset applauded the students for putting up a patriotic, powerful and nation spirited performance. He urged the educators and parents to kindle in the young minds a sense of pride, patriotism and gratitude not only on the I-day but everyday. The administrator Sr Carissima cited in her message, the young minds will value this freedom as they grow a little older, but now they have to grow up with pride for being born in this great nation 'India'.

The winners of the competitions held on this occasion were felicitated. Niya, Vishruth, Dhyana and Ayaan emceed the programme with confidence and poise while Greeshma and Juwairiyah delivered the vote of thanks. The programme ended by singing of the national anthem. Jai Hind!
