Udupi, May 23: A man who was in the city for his daughter’s marriage, died in a hotel room here after accidently falling and suffering serious head injury.
The deceased is identified as Ramakrishna Muddu Shetty (68) from Mumbai.
Ramakrishna with his family, travelled to Udupi on May 19, for his daughter’s wedding on May 22. The family stayed in a hotel room. His left leg was amputated and hence walking with the help of a prosthetic leg. While walking in his room, suddenly the belt of the prosthetic leg unlatched, and Ramakrishna fell on the floor and suffered a severe head injury.
He was immediately shifted to the district hospital. Due to severe head injury, Ramakrishna died on the way to the hospital.
