Udupi: Utsav ’23 concludes at Manipal Academy of Higher Education

Udupi, Apr 20: The grandest annual cultural festival of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, organised by the cultural coordination committee, concluded on April 14. Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor of MAHE, and Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, vice chancellor of MAHE, were the chief guests for the valedictory ceremony. Dr Shobha U. Kamath, the chairperson of the CCC, MAHE, welcomed the gathering, and Dr Sambit Dash, secretary of the CCC, MAHE, gave the vote of thanks.

The five-day fest for all constituent units of MAHE consisted of about 40 events, including literary, art, music, dance, and drama. Students from outstation campuses in Dubai, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Sikkim, and Bengaluru also participated in the events. The students enthusiastically participated and displayed their creativity, skill, talent, and knowledge.

The fashion show marked the apt conclusion of the events, where the participants displayed their talent in designing, creativity, imagination, and modelling. The venue at KMC Greens was packed to its fullest capacity, and the performance enthralled the audience. The best performances of Utsav 2023 over the past few days were repeated in the "Best of Utsav" segment, mesmerising the onlookers one more time.

The event ended with the valedictory ceremony, where Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, was crowned the overall champion of Utsav ’23. The first runners-up were Manipal College of Dental Sciences in Mangalore and Kasturba Medical College. Manipal came in third.
