Mangaluru, Dec 3: World AIDS Day was celebrated under the joint aegis of the Medical laboratory section of Mangala Mangala Group of Institutions, Youth Red Cross and NSS at the auditorium of the institution on December 1.
Assistant lecturer of Manipal basic sciences department Dr Nagalakshmi was the resource person. She explained the topic of ‘Role of technicians in diagnosis of HIV’ in order to make the students aware of the subject. More than 150 students of Mangala College of Paramedical Sciences and Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences participated in the programme.
Prof Pratijna Suhasini, dean of the institution, Prof Geethalakshmi, vice principal, Shainy D’Souza, HOD of MLT department and faculty of the institution were present.
Student Rovin compered the event, while Varsha rendered the vote of thanks.
