Mangaluru: Ladyhill English Higher Primary celebrates Independence Day

Mangaluru, Aug 16: Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration began on August 13 at 8:30 am in the school ground by hoisting the national flag by the chief guest Prathiksha Prabhu along with the headmistress Sr Maisie and assistant headmistress Sr Jyothi Crasta. The students of class VII B implored God's blessings on the country and shared a few insights on the importance of Indian Independence. Later the dignitaries, teachers and students moved towards the school hall to witness the cultural extravaganza.

The students of class VII B showcased with pride and patriotism the cultural program beginning with a welcome dance, patriotic skit, slogans of famous freedom fighters and a beautiful patriotic dance. The chief guest addressed the students and gave an inspiring message to be loyal patriots for the country. Later the students were felicitated with the merit certificate of the year 2021-22.

On August 15 the celebration began by hoisting the national flag by the chief guest Praveen Kumar in the school grounds at 8:45 am along with headmistress Sr Maisie and assistant headmistress Sr Jyothi Crasta. The programme commenced with the fitting prayer service by the students of class VII B. The importance of Independence Day and the patriotic song was presented by the students to boost the spirit of patriotism. The chief guest in his message to the students emphasized to them to pave the path for a peaceful and prosperous nation. The winners of the cluster level volleyball match were honored by the chief guest on this occasion.
