Mangaluru, Jul 22: The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated in St Agnes CBSE school with great devotion and faith. As a mark of this auspicious day the students of the Carmel Blossoms along with their mentors presented a beautiful programme marking the days significance.A Eucharistic celebration was organised for all the catholic students on behalf of the festive day. Rev Fr. Aaron Babush Rodrigues OCD was the main celebrant who gave a valuable sermon of knowing the insights of life and live a virtues life. The blessed scapulars were distributed as the significance towards the end of the mass.

The days event was followed by a short programme organised by the Carmel Blossoms. The invited chief guests were Sr Carmel Rita AC administrator of St Agnes College, Sr Edna Furtado AC the School administrator, the principal Sr Maria Gracilda AC, staff, and students.

A mesmerising programme was organised such as prayer, dance,skit on Mount Carmel etc. The chief guest in her speech highlighted the importance of scapular and to imbibe the virtues and live according to it. She highlighted three factors that is Prayer, Zeal and Asitisism. She congratulated everyone for the wonderful gesture on remembering the big day.

The principal too congratulated the performers and their mentors for their wonderful performance and hard work.

The programme was compered by Ashmel Lasrado and Vibha Mascarenes, Anisha welcomed the gathering, Clarissa Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks expressing her gratitude to all gathered for the event.

The programme was well-coordinated by the vice principal Sr Lenita Lobo AC and Sr Sweedal Fernandes AC the academic co-ordinator. As a festive gesture sweet were distributed to the students.

The management congratulated the principal and students for celebrating the feast creatively and wishes all great festive day. May the Lady of Mount Camel bless all of us and help us to stand by her virtues.
