Mangaluru, Jun 23: With the blessings of A Shama Rao, founder of Srinivas University, under the guidance of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro Chancellor of Srinivas University, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, Mukka celebrated 'World Environment Day” on June 20 at 10.00 am.

The celebration started with the prayer song by the students and the inauguration was done by lighting the traditional lamp by the guests and planting some medicinal plants inside the campus.

The chief guest, Nitin Vas, founder of paper seed, a social entrepreneur, and an environmental activist, addressed the gathering by sharing his valuable experience in nurturing the nature and also by guiding us about the little changes that we need to make in our daily life to reduce the impact of plastic.

The prominent dignitaries present on the dais were professor Devaseelan S, dean, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University and Naveen Bappanadu, department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Srinivas University.

The celebration included Mime show, Group dance, Group song and other cultural activities.
