Udupi, Nov 25: Lords International School organised an informative guest lecture on Friday, November 22 on the topic of 'The exposures of 21st century opportunities: Guiding our children to thrive in a changing world'.
The 21st century is marked by constant change, technological innovation and the need for adaptability. Hence, the necessity to possess the 21st century skills - to think critically, solve problems innovatively and collaborate effectively has become indispensable. With this perspective in mind the lecture was organized. The main aim of this session was to empower students not only to endure but to thrive in a dynamic and demanding world.
Ankit Jaiswal, founder and CEO of Qwings TM, IIT Madras research Park delivered the guest lecture. Before becoming a part of Qwings, he did MS in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras and has worked as an airplane design engineer for defence purposes. He has been one of the representatives of Education India Vision 2047. His countless accomplishments has helped him reach the pinnacle of success.
A powerful and educative PowerPoint presentation by Ankit gave an insight into the future developments of technology. He encouraged the students to widen their horizon and to view things around them on a broader level. He discussed about how students could implement classroom learning for the betterment of the society. He also talked about Metaverse being the future of the world where people would interact with each other in their own avatars. He shared about his journey in life and how he worked hard to become the Founder and CEO of Qwings. He told the students that they need to be confident to be problem-solvers. The more problem-solvers, the more achievements they will get in life.
The session concluded by a question and answer round in which the parents and students interacted with Ankit. The students participated enthusiastically during the session.
