Mangaluru, Jun 20: Two Day National Conference on 21st Century Computing Communication & Technology (NCCT) was held at Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mukka on June 17 and 18.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning of Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mukka organized two day National Conference on 21st Century Computing Communication & Technology (NCCT - 2022). The conference aimed at providing a platform for young research minds to present their innovations and ideas in the field of computation, communication and technologies. The inaugural ceremony of the conference took place on June 17 in the seminar hall. The event was presided over by Dr Jilella Satya Sai Kumar pro vice chancellor Srinivas University.

Dr Shashidhar G Koolagudi (head of the Department, CSE, NITK, Surathkal) was the chief guest.

The event was witnessed by Dr Thomas Pinto (Dean, SUIET), Dr Praveen B M (Director-Research, Srinivas University), Professor Shifana Begum (Head of CSE Dept and the convenor), Dr Veerabhadra Babu (IQAC Director and the convenor). Session chairs Sannidhan M S senior assistant professor, NMAMIT, Nitte and Dr Jason Elroy Martis. senior assistant professor, NMAMIT, Nitte. Heads of other departments, faculties of CSE and AIML, participants and the students.

Beginning with the invocation by Sannidhi, student of 4th sem CSE, Dean, Dr Tomas Pinto welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. This was followed with a formal inauguration of the event by the dignitaries present on the stage by lighting the lamp.

Further, Dr Veerabhadra Babu, the convenor of the event gave an insight about NCCT-2022 followed by the release of the Book of Abstracts by the chief guest along with the Conveners of the event. Professor Akhilraj V Gadagkar (HoD, CS & CF) introduced the chief guest to the gathering.

The chief guest and speaker of the programme gave a very good and well-researched speech about how Emerging Technologies are playing a vital role in our lives.

The guest also addressed the gathering about the pros of having technology in our day-to-day life. The guest had an interactive session with the participants about the different aspects of Computing Communication & Technology.

The pro vice chancellor, Dr Jillella Satya Sai Kumar delivered the presidential remarks. He addressed the gathering about the objectives of paper writing. The participants were admonished not only on mere paper writing but also about the content and fundamentals of it. He inspired the young minds to not give up their principles in life. Professor Varsha G Bangera (Faculty of CSE) proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compared by Shreeja Shetty (4th semester, CSE) and Simi Satish (6th semester, CSE).

The programme was winded up with a valedictory ceremony in the presence of Dr Thomas Pinto (Dean, SUIET), Professor Shifana Begum (HOD,CSE), Dr Naveen Kumar J R (HOD,AI & ML). Presentation certificate was distributed to all the participants and the best papers were awarded. Overall the event was a grand success with everyone’s efforts.
