Mangalore, Mar 12: The department of journalism in St Aloysius College and A1 – Madhyam (The student media forum) organized a workshop on photography at Teletorium on Saturday March 12 at 10.00 am. 

Fr Richard Rego, HOD, dept of mass communication was the chief guest. Fr Swebert D’Silva, principal presided. Anjana George, convenor, Alok JL and Fasila H (student co-ordinators) and Thafleel U, head od the department among others were present. 

Suresh Basavaraju, wild life photographer who is also the winner of the Best Landscape Trophy in an all India competition conducted by Photographic Society of India in 1995, Vinay Kumar, a regular photographer of indianaturewatch.net and Priya Vinay, photographer of Kannada Prabha’s Sakhi Magazine were the resource persons.

The seminar covered various topics like equipment, types of cameras, lenses, zoom v/s fixed focal length, exposure and astro photography among others.
