Mangalore, Mar 11: Expert Vision Labs Pvt. Ltd. incubated at the NITK-Science and technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP), Surathkal, won the national ISBA award 2011 for the best start up company in the Instrumentation and control category. The award is instituted by the Indian Science and Technology Park’s and Business Incubator’s Association (ISBA).
Naveenchandra Hegde, director and co-founder of Expert Vision Labs, received the award from Kartikeya Sarabhai at the 5th ISBA Conference at the National Institute for Design, Ahmedabad on Tuesday March 8.
Expert Vision Labs was founded by Naveenchandra Hegde and Nelson Pereira and has its development centre at the NITK-STEP, Surathkal . The company develops and markets Instruments based on imaging and vision technology. These Instruments are designed to work with the company’s proprietary Biovis Imaging software. The Biovis range of products are used by hundreds of scientists, researchers and QC personnel in India and abroad. Expert Vison has designed and developed products for Genetics, Plant science research, Particle sizing, Semen analysis, Bacterial colony counting, Metallography and Image analysis
