Mangaluru: Srinivas University observes World Environment Day

Mangaluru, Jun 9: On June 5, as a part of celebrating World Environment Day, Institute of Commerce and Management, Srinivas University, had arranged several activities on the virtual platform. Various activities were conducted for the BCom And BBA students to create awareness towards our environment.

BCom and BBA students were asked to make a video related to planting saplings, cleaning the surrounding of their neighbourhood and pledging to spread the message of no to microplastics which are very harmful to the environment, humans, animal and aquatic life. Planting Saplings activity was kept for students. Procedure of planting a sapling was clearly explained to the students before the commencement of the activity. Students along with the NSS coordinator professor Shilpa K participated in the activities with great enthusiasm.

The students were guided by professor Shilpa K – co-ordinator of NSS wing. The involving environment activities were supported by professor Keerthan Raj- dean of Institute of Management and Commerce. Professor Sharmila S Shetty – course co-ordinator of BCom, professor Yashashwi A Ail – course co-ordinator of BCom (ACCA), Dr Sonia Noronha – course co-ordinator of BBA Port Shipping Management and Logistic, professor Nelson Pereira and professor Aneesh course co-ordinator of BBA.
