Kundapur: World Environment Day celebrated at Don Bosco School

Kundapur, Jun 4: World Environment Day was celebrated at Don Bosco School Trasi on Saturday June 4. A solemn programme was arranged by the Eco Club of the school under directorship of Sulekha. Dilip, forest Officer of Aloor Branch was the chief guest. Many students delivered speeches, emphasizing the importance of the Environment Day.

The chief guest exhorted the students to take proactive steps in the conservation and care of the environment. Fr Maxim D'Souza, who presided over the function reminded the students that as we need balance diet for good health, we have to maintain ecological balance by planting trees which will in turn help in our own sustenance.

After the programme, horticultural plant saplings donated by the forest department were planted in the school orchard by the chief guest and the principal along with the Eco Club members and Sulekha.
