Mangaluru: 36th college day celebration of A B Shetty Dental Sciences held

Mangaluru, Jun 2: The 36th College Day Celebration of A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences was held on June 1, 2022 at 6.00 PM at K S Hegde Auditorium. N Shashi Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City was the chief guest.

He advised students on the importance of punctuality in day to day life especially professional life. He also presented the prizes for the various competitions including cultural, & sports activities. Prof (Dr.) Harsha Halahalli, registrar, Nitte (DU) was the guest of honour and he presented the various endowment awards for subject toppers and other spheres of activities.

Prof (Dr.) Mithra N Hegde, vice dean welcomed the gathering. Prof (Dr.) Krishna Nayak, principal & dean delivered the presidential address. Prof (Dr.) Amarshree Shetty, associate dean of student welfare introduced the chief guest.

Prof (Dr.) Rahul Bhandary, dean of Student welfare introduced the guest of honour. Prof (Dr.) Vidya Ajila, Head of the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology read out the names of the various prize winners.

Shetty Diya Ganesh, president, student council read the annual report of student activities of the year.  Sean Prinson D’Souza, general secretary, student Council delivered the vote of thanks.

Two girl students from the University of Toulouse, France have come to Nitte, Deemed to be University.

A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences on a ‘Student Exchange Program’ were presented an Appreciation Award during this Program.

The program was well attended by Heads of Various Departments, Staff, Postgraduate and Undergraduate Students.
