Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School reopens in grand manner

Mangaluru, May 31: The academic year 2022-23 began with lot of excitement on May 30. The students entered the portals of LCS carrying their new books all set to begin the new academic year with a smile. The students of classes I to XII assembled on the school grounds for the welcome assembly.

The students of class X conducted the Welcome programme, which began with the morning prayer followed by the intentions. Elishia Baptist compered and Amber Furtado enriched the audience with an inspiring thought. Tanishka Dharmaraj delivered the welcome speech. The school choir rendered a melodious welcome song.

Principal, Fr Robert D Souza appreciated the parents for their sincere effort in sending their wards to school and welcomed all studentsand requested them to make use of opportunities provided for them. He also asked them to relax, to live a happy and hardworking life and lead a fruitful academic year.

Fr Principal gladly announced and welcomed the newly appointed vice principal Anita Thomas with the floral bouquet,who will look after the welfare and discipline of the school. He also introduced and welcomed the newly appointed teachers with flowers.

Birthday song was sung for the birthday students.

The assembly concluded with the school anthem and students moved on to their respective classrooms all set to achieve their goals and dreams in the new academic year.
