Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE school organises Staff Orientation Programme

Mangaluru, May 31: St Agnes CBSE school organised a Staff Orientation Programme on May 20. Every year the teachers face new challenges from their students, curriculum and various activities and need to excel in all the duties assigned to them. Timely talks and sessions help them to rejuvenate also upgradenourish and nurture their hidden qualities so that it can be imparted best in their students.They can impart knowledge more effectively to their students.

Father Clifford Fernandes who is currently providing his service as a parish priest at Holy Cross Church, Kulshekar was the guest speaker for the session. Fr Clifford is well known for his inspiring sermons and has served in many parishes in and around Mangaluru and Udupi. Has also been the director at seminary for priests at Jeppu.

In his motivational talk he stressed on the important statement 'You are much more than what you and others think about you'. He said each teacher is a master piece. He highlighted various challenges of being a teacher and the role model to be. He explained the 4 C’s that is Commitment- students as first priority, Competence- have an updated knowledge, Credibility- Role model, clear image, and Cordiality- showing empathy. He also instructed every teacher to be a guide, facilitator, friend and an alchemist.

The programme was compered by teacher Josna Priya the gathering was welcomed by Priya, Anita Wilma thanked the guest for his excellent presentation and the teachers for their wonderful participation.

The management wished good luck to all the teachers for the successful beginning of the new academic year.
