Raghu Dixit performs at Alliance Alumni meet 2022

Bengaluru, Apr 25: The mood at Alliance University here on Saturday 23, was festive with a reunion of alumni who came from different and far-off places to attend the Alliance Alumni Meet 2022.

The event started with alumni of Alliance who have turned entrepreneurs showcasing their products and services, followed by a formal event where the leadership team of Alliance University addressed all the alumni, an oath-taking ceremony of the office bearers of Alliance Alumni Association, and finally a scintillating performance by Raghu Dixit and band.

The entrepreneur exhibition had about 20 alumni showcase their products and services at the event to all participants. Later they also made presentations on how their enterprises are making an impact on society. The event later had the leadership team of Alliance University welcoming and greeting all the alumni.

Alliance University leadership with the Office Bearers of Alliance Alumni Association Abhay G Chebbi, pro-chancellor welcomed the alumni and congratulated them on their successes. He spoke of how Alliance Education as a catalyst has transformed the lives of alumni over the last 25 years and shaped their future prospects - be it product engineering, services, or entrepreneurship- Alliance Education has been pivotal in building future leaders.

Abhay welcomed the office bearers of Alliance Alumni Association-Bengaluru Chapter, while also highlighting how several other chapters will be installed shortly across the country and beyond. He highlighted how the alumni can contribute to their Alma Mater while continuously utilizing the services offered by the Alliance Alumni Association to grow professionally and personally.

Dr Anubha Singh, vice-chancellor, Alliance University welcoming thousands of alumni said “our alumni play very important roles in the university as our marque, pride, glory and brand and we value that immensely and also integrate that in the university’s philosophy and mission to emphasize alumni engagement”.

Highlighting the fact that students are students for only a few years but graduates are alumni for life, Dr Anubha presented a myriad of ways that would shrink the distance with our alumni who graduated two and a half decades back, to keep the spark alive. Dr Anubha offered a suite of activities, a broad range of high-quality events and engagement experiences such as sports, literary festival, and series of knowledge exchange events in addition to alumni reunions that are regionally based, reunions that are class-based, and other networking events and opportunities for multi-dimensional interactions.

Surekha Shetty, Senior Director, Office of Admissions, Career Advancement & Networking, and Alumni Relations put forth her thoughts on how the Alliance Alumni Association under the leadership of office bearers would take forward the baton of building strong bonds amongst former students from all over the globe and also with the current students of Alliance University.

The formal event concluded with the office bearers of the Alliance Alumni Association taking oath and committing to create and foster fellowship among the alumni across the globe. The following members took the oath as office bearers and represent alumni from different batches of Alliance, hold key positions in the corporate,and some are entrepreneurs.

Tony V Francis, chief revenue officer at WPP’s Matrix Publicities & Media, India took oath as the president of the Alliance Alumni Association; Ranjana Sagar, associate vice president, Global Head of Recruitment, at ATTRA as Vice President; Ashith B, Co-founder & CEO of Bizotic as Secretary; Pavithra B, Head of People at SpringFive as Joint Secretary; Benjin Samuel, Recruitment Specialist Early Talent Hiring at SAP Labs India as Treasurer; Shriyans Jain, CEO at Sanjay Polymers as Committee Member; Adv Hiran Krishnaswamy, Consultant at B.H.K. Swamy & Co. as Committee Member, and Akarsh V, Talent Acquisition Specialist at A P Moller – Maersk also as Committee Member.

The Alumni Meet ended on a solid note with a rocking performance by Raghu Dixit and Band. Raghu Dixit and Band played some of their most popular tracks and swayed the audience with their amazing talent on stage. The event was a grand success with thousands of alumni being part of a great reunion that brought together memories, music, and friends.
