Mangaluru: Value Education Day Celebrated at Carmel School

Mangaluru, Apr 7: Value Education Day was celebrated in Carmel School Auditorium by the students of Grades 1 to 7 on Thursday, April 7.

The cultural programme with the theme “Recipes for a Fuller Life” gave a timely clarion call that the incontrovertible truth that only “inner labels” make up one’s personality and they are the living certificates that underscore true education.

The tiny tots of Grade 1 emphasized the fact that "Everything that God has created has a purpose" and therefore to fondle it with care and love specifically - animals, birds, trees, flowers, mountains through a meaningful skit ‘Nature-The Best Teacher’. The dance drama that were presented by students of Grades 2, 3and 4 on ‘Maximise Humanness’ highlighted the important ingredients people could bring into their relationship with everyone in order to cultivate a meaningful and happy friendship. ‘Make use of the potentialities that God has endowed you with’ was the captivating message derived from the skit ‘Parables of the Three Talents’.

Action Songs and Skits on ‘There is no short cut to success’, ‘Perseverance Pays’, ‘Value of Time’, ‘ Basic Humility’ by the budding artistes of Grades 5,6 and 7 created in the audience an awareness to be A Live to the Present and to plan, prioritize and nurture positive attitudes. Sister Sarika, the Principal expressed her sincere thanks to the Staff for assuming an invaluable role in moulding the students and orienting them towards good values and right attitudes.
