Mangaluru, Apr 6: The fourth annual convocation of Srinivas University will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 9.30 AM in the Srinivas University Campus, Mukka, Surathkal.
The degree of Doctor of Letters will be conferred on Vidyavallabha Teertha Swamiji of the Jagadguru Srimanmadhavacharya Moola Maha Samsthanam, ponitiff of Sri Rama Teertha Peetam, Kaniyooru Matha, Udupi.
Graduation day of Srinivas University, Srinivas Group of Colleges is organized at 9.30 AM on Sunday, April 10 at Srinivas University Campus, Mukka, Surathkal. V Ponnuraj IAS, secretary to the Karnataka Chief Minister will be the chief guest.

Dr C A A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru will be presiding over the program.

Renowned chartered accountant, visionary academician, Dr C A A Raghavendra Rao started the first educational institution Srinivas College of Hotel management in the year 1988. The group was started with just seven students. Today, more than 12,000 students are pursuing their higher education in Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Institutions. Around 4,000 faculty and staff are serving the student community at Srinivas University. The group has established many milestones in the quality education in the field of Healthcare, Medical, Dental, Para Medical, Allied Health Sciences, Hotel Management, Engineering & Technology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Aviation studies, Social Sciences & Humanities, Management & Commerce, Education, Sanskrit, and Yoga.
Over 860 students comprising of 668 UG students and 183 PG students will be awarded the degree. The 100 ranks including 37 gold medals, 5 PhD, 3 DSc, 1 DLitt degrees will be awarded in the convocation.
