Puttur: Prize distribution, Farewell function at St Philomena PU College

Puttur, Mar 18: Prize distribution and Farewell function for second year students was organized at St Philomena PU College, Puttur on March 12 at Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall.

Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the correspondent, St Philomena PU College, in his presidential remarks said that students should always have a positive attitude and build self confidence. He advised students to stay away from negative people and work hard to achieve their goal.

Fr Stany Pinto, the campus director, St Philomena College, said that life is a challenge and so students should be ready to face the challenges. He motivated students by saying that world gives them a lot of opportunities and as students they should make use of it. He advised students to dream high.

Prizes were distributed to the students who showcased their talents in various fields like NCC, Cultural and Sports events. Students who cleared CA Foundation Examination and CA Final Examination were honoured. Students who passed other competitive examinations were also honoured on the occasion.

Students welfare officers like Yashawanth MD department of Biology and Usha Yashawanth, department of Kannada were present on the occasion.

Fr Vijay Lobo, principal, St Philomena PU College welcomed the gathering. Bharath G Pai proposed vote of thanks. Divya, department of Chemistry compered the programme.
