Mangaluru, Mar 12: Shree Devi Institute of Technology, department of Business Administration organized MBA orientation for first year students. The chief guest for the programme was professor Ramani Venkat, serial entrepreneur and NLP trainer. The theme of the academic year 'Spark Tank' Igniting Innovative Ideas, was inaugurated by professor Ramani Venkat, Dr K E Prakash principal and director and Dr Gayathri B J HOD MBA dept, As a part of orientation professor Ramani Venkat conducted various team building activities and also oriented management students about the corporate world.
One week of orientation programme which encompassed of personality development program was conducted by eminent corporate professionals.
Motivational Talk was organised and the chief guest for the session was Ramit Chennithala, assistant commissioner of Income Tax, Shimoga, guest of honour K C Babukuttan PIillai, retired deputy commissioner of Income Tax.
Ramit inaugurated the Management Forums under the banner of Meraki Association. The various forums are HR Forum- HRiday, Marketing Forum- MAntra, Finance Forum- Artha, Speakers Club- Daksha and Social Endeavour Club- Samarpan.
He addressed the audience by sharing glimpses of his life and how a young boy who dreamt of being a professional cricketer became a civil servant. He also shared how he overcame hurdles of his life by embracing failures and reaching the heights of success. Ramit shared with the students encouraging examples of his own life and inspired students to be a self motivator.
Dr K E Prakash, director and principal, Dr Gayathri B J, HOD of MBA department, professor Shwetha Shetty, faculty coordinator were also present.
CA MN Pai was invited as an external moderator for the Union Budget Presentation- 'Sameeksha'. The first year students presented the Union Budget covering the distinct sectors. CA MN Pai shared his views on the budget and expressed appreciation on students presentation. Head of the department Dr Gayathri B J, professor Gayathri Shetty faculty coordinator and other faculty members were present.
