Mangaluru: Achievers Express - An interactive session with Agnesians

Mangaluru, Mar 2: On February 25, 2022 the department of Commerce, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized ‘Achievers Express’ – an interactive session with Agnesian achievers. Lydia Annet Gonsalves being an Agnesian achiever was the guest speaker for the session.

Lydia Annet Gonsalves was a student of the department of Commerce, St Agnes College from 2012 to 2015. Lydia who is currently a Community Mobilizer, United Nations Development Programme, has also taken up a number of social work activities and projects for the benefit of the community. She started her business during the difficult time of lockdown. The business makes all kinds of woolen products and sells the same. Her business obtained a trade license and has openeda store in December 2021. The business has caught the attention of many in both Indian and international market. Fulfilling her responsibility towards the society her business has distributed woolen hatsto cancer patients. St Agnes College is indeed proud of its Alumna’s achievements.

Sr Dr M Venissa A C, principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru addressed the I BCom students on the occasion. She congratulated Lydia for her achievements and encouraged students to move out from their comfort zones to thrive hard for success.

Lydia was felicitated by the principal and the HOD of Commerce. She addressed the students and talked abouther journey. She mentioned the journey wasn’t easy because of a number of hurdles, but obstacles and hurdles can be succeeded through commitment, hard work and determination.

Nimitha, HOD of Commerce and Sheryl Preethika, co-ordinator of the programme were also present.

Alisha of I BCom compered the programme. Shainy of I BCom delivered the vote of thanks.
