Mangaluru, Feb 14: Carmel School CBSE, Mangaluru, organized an input session - 'Growth in Life' for the students of class V, VI and VII on February 12, 2022 in the School Auditorium. Sr Sarika the principal, Sr Rose Agnes, the administrator and Dr Mehnaz Abdulla (MBBS, MS (OBG)) Obstetrician and Gynaecologist were present on the dais.

The programme began with a short prayer followed by a prayer dance. Dr Mehnaz Abdulla first addressed the V and VI Standard students and second session was for Standard VII. She addressed on the issues - growing up, menstrual cycle, maintaining hygiene, food habits, obesity and sedentary lifestyle. She also emphasized on emotional and spiritual changes, managing the stress, body shaming, building confidence and self-esteem to face these challenges. Students had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and fears.

The gathering was welcomed by Sr Shanthi Laveena, resource person was introduced by Liffin Saldanha and Akshatha S proposed the vote of thanks. On the part of students Fathima Hafiza voiced her sentiments of gratitude. Shwetha compered the programme.
