Udupi, Feb 10: The parents of the six students agitating for their right to Hijab inside classrooms, have approached the Udupi Superintendent of police seeking action against the sharing of their girls' personal details including their mobile numbers in the public domain.
The parents met SP N Vishnuvardhan on Thursday, February 10 and requested for action against those circulating the personal details of the agitating students on social media.
The mobile numbers, address and other personal information of the agitating students were circulated on social media. Parents have expressed fears regarding miscreants threatening them by using the information available online.
Speaking with Daijiworld SP Vishnuvardhan said, "The parents of the agitating students of Government Women's PU College have approached me and given a written complaint. I have requested them to file the documents of the said information available online. Further action will be taken once we receive proper documented evidence in this regard," he said.
