Mangaluru: Srinivas University College organizes Budget Analysis Programme

Mangaluru, Feb 5: Srinivas University College of Management and Commerce organized a Budget Analysis Programme – Voice of Young India on the Union Budget 2022 – A panel discussion in the pandeshwar campus on 4th February , 2022. The programme was intended for the MBA students and it began with a presentation on the budget by the students.

The budget analysis was organized under the patronage of chancellor and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao who presided over the programme and insugurated it by lighting the lamp. He was joined by the pro- chancellor, Srinivas University and vice-president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Dr A Srinivas Rao. vice-chancellor, Dr P S Aithal and Meghana S Rao also joined in the inauguration.

The panel consisted of a distinguished guests from the Industry and various fields, CA S S Nayak, Builder and Developer, Dharmendra B Mehta, journalist P B Harish Rai of Vijayavani, Industrialist, Dr Sharath Rao, professor Narayan Kayarkatte and the session was moderated by professor Manoj Louis. The eminent speakers gave their insights to the budget in an explicit manner in a lenghty discussion which was telecast live in You tube which attracted many virtual participants as well
The welcome address was done by Dean of the College of Management and Commerce, professor Keerthan Raj.

The chancellor, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, in his presidential remarks talked about the need for reforms in certain policies and appreciated aspects of the budget while encouraging students to participate and organizes more such events which will lead them to be better policy makers and leaders of the future and the university was looking at this type of education in every program. pro-chacellor, Dr A Srinivas Rao talked on the need for a yearly stock taking session as well by experts on the milestones covered each year by March 31st on the progress on policy intitiaves and expressed the need for panels and bodies making adequate referendum to the Union Government and decision making bodies in a timely manner so as to channelise the needs and thoughts of the grass root people as well. Dr P S Aithal highlighted the inspiration the should be drawn by students from the chancellor in his vision and growth story. Meghana S Rao, spoke on the youth perspective on the Union Budget.

Registrar development, Dr Ajay Kumar and deans of other colleges of Srinivas University participated in the session. The event was compered by Prima Dsouza, faculty and the vote of thanks was delivered by professor Amith Menezes, coordinator, MBA programme.
