Mangaluru: Srinivas College of Pharmacy celebrates National Pharmacy Week

Mangaluru, Nov 30: Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Dakshina Kannada District Local Branch, Mangalore in association with Srinivas College of Pharmacy celebrated National Pharmacy Week – 2021 with the theme 'Pharmacist: An integral part of health care' at Valachil Campus from November 30 in blended mode.

Chief guest Sujit Bhidae, president, South Canara Chemists & Druggist Association Mangaluru, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and called upon the student pharmacists to serve the society actively in health care sector.

H Malathi, senior pharmacist, Bhide Medicals, Mundaje was felicitated in recognition of her services in community pharmacy.

Dr A R Shabaraya, programme convener of National Pharmacy Week 2021, president, IPA, Mangaluru and principal, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, Mangaluru, in his presidential remarks exhorted the students to bring drug abuse awareness among the different sections of society and encouraged the student pharmacists to actively participate in the awareness programmes.

Dr E VS Subrahmanyam, professor & vice president, IPA, Mangaluru highlighted about the Pharmacy Week Celebration and welcomed the guests. Pratheeksha and Anvitha anchored the programme. Dr Krishnananda Kamath proposed the vote of thanks.
