Los Angeles, Nov 26 (IANS): Hollywood star Jeff Goldblum is still sceptical about the idea of an afterlife even though a medium once claimed to have contacted his late parents.
The actor and singer finds himself on all sorts of adventures while filming his reality TV series 'The World According to Jeff Goldblum', and he's still not sure what to make of the paranormal experts he met during a recent episode, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"There are witches I go and see who use magic to connect us to our cultural heritage and celebrate nature," he shared.
"(One) is a kind of medium and she connects me... with my departed parents."
The jazz musician went into the otherworldly encounter with an open mind, but he's still not sure what to think about it.
He added: "I'll tell you while she was doing it, I had an experience with that idea."
But asked if he believes the seance was for real, he said: "Not necessarily... but I'm always open minded and constantly learning. That's one of the themes of my show. But no, I don't think the departed are there to talk to, I just don't, I'm sorry."
He's open to the possibility he may be wrong, though.
"I said I was sceptical... but I'm a person that stays open to mystery and the many things that we don't know," Jeff adds. "We are, I'm sure, primitive in all of our understanding.
"And I got touched by... the seance. In that reading that she (medium) was doing..., I get touched. They tickled me and I liked it."
