Mangaluru: SCS Preschool resumes offline classes for children

Media Release

Mangaluru, Nov 19: In the past few days, SCS Preschool has been bustling with enthusiasm and laughter. The sight of children playing to their hearts content, meeting new friends and being loved by their teachers is a treat to the eye. The children are excited to be back in school, even though it is a first time experience for many of them. The wonder of school seems to intrigue them and their expressions reminisces of 'Alice in Wonderland'.

The teachers went out of their way to decorate the school and plan fun activities for their students. A children's party was organized on November 13, as a part of the Children's Day programme and the children had a blast. The teachers also put up a colourful programme which was sent online to the children on November 14. "Having children back in school after almost two years is like a dream come true", said the principal of the school. She urges parents to minimize the time that children spend in front of screens and encourage them to enjoy and explore nature and their surroundings. "Children need to spend time with family and friends and not gadgets," she said.

SCS Preschool aims to help children reach their full intellectual and personal potential. The curriculum is designed to promote all-round development in children. Importance and emphasis is given to language skills and communication. Children are encouraged to learn by exploring the environment around them. SCS Preschool has been putting in much effort to inculcate eco-consciousness within our children. A special subject is designed to enkindle in the children's minds, an awareness about their surroundings and the problems related to climate change and Global Warming. Activities related to environmental awareness are conducted once a week.
