Puttur, Nov 1: Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated at St Philomena PU College on November 1.
Professor Fr Vijay Lobo said that the celebrations of Kannada Rajyotsava should not be limited to one day. “We should always have the concern for our land and language. It is our duty to preserve and nurture Kannada language. Students have the responsibility to make it grow. Kannada culture should grow in our lives,” he said.
Pradarshana Kala Sangha students sang a prayer and songs. Kannada professor Usha Yashavantha compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks. Professors, staff, students and Rovers and Rangers took part enthusiastically in the programme.
