Udupi: Annual prize distribution day at St Mary’s English Medium (CBSE) School

Udupi, Oct 30: St Mary’s English Medium (CBSE) School, Kannarpady Udupi held the annual prize distribution programme for the students of Grade 6 to 12 on October 29 2021 for the competitions held virtually during the year 2020 – 2021.

The guest of honour for the programme was Pramod Kumar, circle inspector of Udupi town and the chief guest of the function was Uma K, coordinator of Block Resource Centre Udupi. The correspondent of the school Fr Charles Menezes presided over the programme and the principal Fr Johnson Sequeira and vice principal Rita Quadros accompanied the dignitaries on the dais.

The programme began with a prayer song led by the students’ choir followed by a welcome dance by the students of grade 7. The guests were welcomed by Nicika Rao of grade 7. Nazia introduced the guests. The guests and the correspondent honoured the winners with certificates.

The guests appreciated and encouraged the students to participate in many more competitions. They also advised the students to persevere and work hard and keep up the spirit of participation even if they do not win. The whole program was anchored by Hardik Pai of grade 8 and Varshini of grade 7. Prarthana of grade 8 delivered the vote of thanks. The programme concluded by singing the school anthem.
