Mangaluru, Oct 28: The cabinet inaugural 2021-22 of Mount Carmel Central School was held on Thursday October 28 in the school auditorium.
The programme began with prayer invoking God's blessings. The divine aura was spread across the atmosphere as the chief guest Dr Preethi Keerthi D’Souza; Sr Carissima, the administrator; Sr Melissa, the principal; Sr Lidwyn, the vice principal, class teachers of Grade X along with Nathan D’Souza, the head boy and Thaneesha, the head girl lit the lamp as the choir chanted Asathoma Sadgamaya.
Head boy Nathan welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest Dr Preethi Keerthi D’Souza, assistant professor of department of Commerce, Mangalore University.
Thaneesha, the head girl and Nathan, the head boy along with the other cabinet leaders took the oath administered by the principal, Sr Melissa. This was followed by the oathtaking by the leaders of the four Houses – Blue Bells, Orchids, Anthuriums and Tulips.
The principal then addressed the cabinet leaders and wished them good luck, praying God’s blessings on the school cabinet that will now work for the smooth functioning of the school.
Dr Preethi Keerthi D’Souza, the chief guest in her speech, congratulated the members of the cabinet for having taken up the responsibility of the school cabinet for the year 2021-22. She also emphasized on the journey of a leader towards responsibility while also enhancing their skills in the process. Sketching an anecdote from her own life, she highlighted the joy that one can receive through leadership and the encouragement that can lead the student further in life.
A felicitation programme was held highlighting the accolades won by the students of the school in various competitions and fest organized in different schools and organizations in and around Karnataka.
Anushka Yadav of class X compered the programme. The vote of thanks was rendered by the head girl Thaneesha.
