Mangalore Swimmers Win 41 Medals in State Level Competition

Mangalore, Oct 28: Swimmers of Jai Hind Swimming Club and Mangalore Aquatic Club have won about 41 medals in the State level swimming competition organized by Karnataka State Education department in Bangalore and State Pre-University Board in Mysore during 19th & 20th October 2010.



Top row (L to R): Sureen M. U (1 gold, 2 bronze), Shubham Shetty (1 bronze), Sathya Bhat (1 silver, 1 bronze), Harsha Alva (1 bronze), Surya Bhat (2 bronze), Clapton Siddarth (3 bronze), Ajay D Silva (1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze), Sushanth Surathkal (2 silver, 2 bronze), Yajnesh Bengre (1 bronze)

Middle row (L to R): Mithila Shetty (2 bronze), Navya (1silver, 3 bronze), Thanushree Pal (2 bronze), Manish Shenoy (1 bronze), Rashmi Mallya (2 bronze).

Bottom row (L to R): Anusha Natekar (2 silver, 1 bronze), Lakshmi Mallya (4 silver), Ramakrishana Rao (Head Coach), Umesh (Asst. Coach), Sanjana Rao (1 bronze), Shilpa Bengre (2 silver, 1 bronze).

Out of the above, Ajay D Silva Sureen M.U., Shilpa Bengre, Lakshmi Mallya, Sathya Bhat and Navya Naik are selected to represent Karnataka State in National Swimming Championship, which is scheduled to be held in Solapur, Maharastra from 10th November to 15th November.

All the swimmers are getting training under Sri Ramakrishna Rao (Head Coach) and Sri Umesh (Asst. Coach) in Mangalore City Corporation Swimming Pool.
